Heroes memorializes those who have passed from COVID-19 and everyone left without family support at the end of their lives because of governmental lockdowns. I believe those who have lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic are heroes; combatting adversity with courage and strength. The glass skull symbolizes our own mortality and how catastrophic COVID-19 is. Sculpted Forget-Me-Nots signify the cycle of life and how the world always continues after tough times. The medical mask represents the global pandemic.
Heroes is dedicated to my Nana.
